Phoenixville, PA – December 2, 2025 – Ann’s Heart is excited to announce it has
received a $25,000 grant from The Foxwynd Foundation Donor Advised Fund (DAF) to support the renovation of 152 Church Street into a new 16-bed Long-Term Emergency Housing program.
This project marks a critical step in Ann’s Heart’s continuum of care, expanding beyond seasonal emergency shelter to provide longer-term housing stability for individuals and families working toward independence.
“We are deeply grateful to The Foxwynd Foundation for helping make this vision a reality,” said Kristen McGee, Executive Director of Ann’s Heart. “This new facility will bridge the gap between crisis and stability, offering not only safe, welcoming housing but also the case management, meal access, and wraparound services that help our guests rebuild their lives.”

Renovations at 152 Church Street will transform underutilized space into private, family-friendly units — including ADA-accessible rooms, modernized kitchens, and communal living areas. Guests will continue to access the full spectrum of Ann’s Heart’s supportive services, from the HEART Kitchen’s nutritious meals to mental and behavioral health resources.
Gloria Galvez, Grant and Partnership Manager at The Foxwynd Foundation, shared, “We are proud to support Ann’s Heart as it expands its housing continuum to meet evolving community needs. This project represents the kind of compassionate, forward-thinking work that makes Chester County stronger.”
Construction is underway, with the new transitional housing program slated to
open in early 2026.
