About the Role

The Facilities & Custodial Assistant is responsible for the cleanliness, appearance, and routine upkeep of Ann's Heart facilities and shared campus spaces. This position focuses on custodial services, trash removal, restroom cleaning, supply restocking, light groundskeeping, and maintaining welcoming environments for all who use our buildings.
This position is not responsible for skilled maintenance, repairs, plumbing, electrical work, or building construction projects.

Salary & Hours

$16/Hr, 15 Hours/Week

Qualifications & Expectations

Essential Responsibilities

Custodial Services

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms throughout campus buildings

  • Restock restroom supplies including toilet paper, paper towels, and soap

  • Empty interior trash and recycling containers

  • Vacuum offices, classrooms, hallways, stairwells, and common areas

  • Sweep and mop common spaces, kitchens, and shared areas

  • Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of campus facilities

Campus & Grounds

  • Empty exterior trash and recycling receptacles

  • Pick up litter and debris throughout campus grounds

  • Monitor outdoor common areas for cleanliness and appearance

Facility Monitoring & Support

  • Report maintenance concerns, repairs, safety issues, and supply needs to staff

  • Help ensure buildings remain welcoming and presentable for residents, partners, visitors, and community members

  • Maintain cleaning supply inventory and communicate restocking needs

Qualifications

  • Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or cleaning experience preferred

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Strong attention to detail and reliability

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing stairs, standing, and walking for extended periods

  • Reliable transportation

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Required clearances - Child Abuse Clearances, FBI Fingerprinting, PA State Background Check
