February 8- Post-Secondary PlanningUnsure about what your plans are after high school? Come and hear about the different options available-college, employment, gap year, military and trade school. Learn what it takes to select a college and what colleges are looking for in applicants. Hear also about the necessary steps to take for other post-secondary options. Refreshments will be served to attendees. Hope to see you there!

March 14- The Ins and Outs of The College Application Process

There is more to applying to college than selecting a school. We will explore the different types of applications, application timelines, the do's and don'ts of good essay writing and who and when to ask for recommendations. Refreshments will be served to attendees! Hope to see you there!

March 28- The College Process for Students who Learn Differently

The process of applying to college for students with a 504 plan or IEP is different. Come and learn about how to find schools with good learning supports, as well as how IEPs and 504 plans change from high school to college, and get your questions answered about how and whom to seek out on college campuses. Refreshments will be served to attendees. Hope to see you there!

April 18-Paying for College/Financial Aid

College is an expensive venture, but there are ways to afford the college of your choice. A financial aid overview will include information regarding need-based and merit aid as well as scholarships that are available. Resources will be provided regarding how to start the process and a timeline for financial aid. Refreshments will be served to attendees. Hope to see you there!

Parking at the HEART Building is limited, but additional street parking can be found on Church Street. Take the walk-way between 148 Church St and the Sacred Heart Church to 35 Hall St.  Please refrain from parking on Hall St. as those spots are reserved for Hall Street residents.
